The fixed-weight portion cutter PORTIO 1A is used to portion flat chicken fillets to a programmed fixed weight. Fillets can be cut at an angle to maintain the natural look on the portioned chicken fillets, or for a larger plate coverage. The knife angle of the knife can be changed from 0° to 30° or 45° with respect to the vertical position.
The fixed-weight portion cutter PORTIO 1A uses the top camera to scan the volume of the chicken fillet. The portioner can be upgraded to a PORTIO 3A by adding 2 side cameras. Bolt-on options are available to adapt the fixed-weight portioning machine over the working life of the portioner in accordance with the evolution of your applications and processes.
The PORTIO software for the Portion Cutter always calculates the cuts so as to leave zero waste, and maximize the yields. Conditional programs are possible for increased yields. Combinations of fixed thickness and various fixed weights allow portioning for maximum yield for all poultry applications.
1 laser camera at the top perfectly scans flat products such as chicken fillets or deboned thigh meat. This transforms the shape of the poultry product into a 3D model. As it knows the density of the product, the intelligent software of the portioning machine instantly calculates where to cut the product to obtain the target weights.
The portion cutter has automatic stretch compensation which guarantees optimal accuracy over the years, using the same belt. The unique belt surface is specially designed for poultry products and will keep the products in place and prevents them from moving during portioning.
The cutting angle can be adjusted without the need for tools. A patented system automatically adjusts the gap between the infeed and outfeed belt for the optimum spacing
On larger chicken or turkey fillets that weigh 250 gr or more and have a more rounded shape, it is beneficial to add 2 side cameras for an optimal and accurate scan.
Specially designed options can be bolted on to the portioner at any later stage for specific applications. A laser line can be projected on the infeed belt to indicate to the operator the correct placement of the chicken fillets. The density scale compensates for variation in injected poultry products. The Automatic Product Holder prevents chicken fillets from moving during portioning. The retractable outfeed belt allows the head to be separated or tail to be trimmed from the center cuts, and can be combined with a blow-off system.
Intuitive programming of cutting patterns and fast and easy fine-tuning of the programs to get the maximum yields. The visual presentation of the cutting pattern on a large screen and the and weight indicators makes it easy to adjust the program which maximizes the yield while minimizing give-away.
The MATRIX P software collects all production data from the PORTIO and allows production reports to be generated. MATRIX P enables users to remotely make programs offline and monitor the status of the poultry slicing machine through an event log.
The portion cutter complies with the most stringent hygiene standards. The open structure of the portioner allows it to be cleaned using a pressure washer and disinfected on the inside and outside. A CIP (Cleaning In Place) system rinses the belts. All cabinets with electrics and electronics have a unique air-drying system to prevent the build up of condensation. Belts can be removed with a quick release, without the need for tools.
The portion cutter can be connected to the internet, allowing the status of the portioner to be diagnosed from a remote service point.
Operators appreciate the good working environment around the PORTIO, thanks to its low noise levels.
