MARELEC covers a wide range of weighing, grading, and batching systems, from the reception of the whole salmon to IQF portion-controlled products. We have a custom solution for every need, whether it is capturing data from the received raw material, adding quality or simply grading and batching whole fish. MATRIX software will provide you with the essential KPIs to monitor and control your entire process.
At salmon slaughterhouses, the weight and quality of the incoming raw material provides valuable information on the next stage in the process. When graded as prime whole salmon, the fish can be packed in Styrofoam boxes with minimal giveaway.
MARELEC has built up considerable knowledge and expertise over the years and can offer you the perfect whole salmon grading solution. Secondary qualities might be fine graded for further processing. Once fillets have been sorted, they are usually trimmed and the yield, quality and capacity per operator is recorded. After trimming, fillets can be graded again and batched or cut into fixed-weight portions.
By collecting data in the MATRIX software you can monitor yield and take control of the process. MATRIX ensures full traceability and upstream feedback.
A team of engineers translates your salmon sorting and packing requirements into a custom grading solution. Full consideration is always given to the ergonomics for the operators. This flexible approach guarantees the perfect solution for the application while maintaining the maximum throughput as a priority with the smallest possible footprint.
The salmon graders have a completely open structure, without any hidden corners, for full ease of cleaning and disinfection. The design of the graders avoids horizontal surfaces. Batching stations can easily be opened for optimum hygiene. All electrics and electronics are in completely sealed cabinet with a unique hygienic labyrinth double sealing. All materials used are FDA approved. To avoid housings and reductors, all motors are silent stainless steel drum motors with IP 66 or higher protection.
Speed, size, and state of the product are crucial aspects when choosing the most suitable infeed system for the sorter. For instance, IQF frozen vacuum-packed products require a grader that focuses on gentle sorting.
The interface is quick, user-friendly and intuitive to program. Over 100 programs can be stored.
Production data can be viewed on the HMI grader. The user-friendly MATRIX program stores
processing data on an office PC for traceability. MATRIX also allows the grader to be controlled remotely.
